About Perth Rentals Hire: Where it All Began

Perth Rentals Hire started in 1968 when Geoff Long left the 6KY radio station and decided to go into business. One year later Ray Connop, a colleague from 6KY joined him and the two friends began to rent out twin tub washing machines, single door fridges and black and white televisions, all from a backyard in Como.

It wasn’t long before they outgrew their make-shift office/shed and moved into an old picture theatre in Rivervale. They stayed at this premises for a few years before outgrowing it. Once again they were on the move. Finally they settled on the current premises on Goongarrie Street in Bayswater. Thankfully Perth Rentals Hire have remained to this very day…

It is from these early beginnings that we have grown to be the largest Western Australian owned rental company.
